Importance of the “Right” Kind of Education

It is a common practice for Indian parents to tell their children that studying till the 10th is extremely important and then you can enjoy your life. As children, most of us have heard the same story. The same advice is repeated at 12th and your graduation. Children grow up to believe that they are only studying now so they can enjoy their lives later on and have fun.
Education is one of the most powerful resources on our planet with the ability to achieve the unachievable. It is thoroughly responsible for framing the young and malleable minds of children.

Education is meant to prepare the upcoming generations to hold their own and make the right decisions when push comes to shove.

It just seems like most educational institutions have lost their perspective and are just testing the memory of the students instead of their intelligence.

The Wrong Kind of Education

India has the largest youth army in the entire world. With the kind of human power we host, India has the potential to become a superpower. The only thing that our youth lack is the right vision and path that guides them to their full potential.

One key factor that is responsible for most of this blame is the ideologies and methods that we use to educate the children and youth of our country. Most subjects taught in school have little to no impact on the future of these children. By the end of their high school, most of them are clueless about what they want to do next.

A vast majority of schools only focus on the theoretical part of education while forgetting that everything in this world works on practical knowledge. This leads to several students being fully capable of acing an exam but failing at the most basic tasks in the real world.

Right from an early age, children are forced to believe that learning only happens in school, and they are never encouraged to apply what they have learned on the outside.

There’s a serious need to change the way we educate the children who’ll shape the future of our country and the world! If there’s a wrong kind of education, there most certainly is a right way. Let’s check it out!

Importance of the Right Kind of Education

The right education is impossible to precisely define. It is something that can only be hinted at and described indirectly.
Nevertheless, this idea of the right kind of education is something that all of the traditional educational institutions in the world aim to achieve.

But it is something that has been instinctively grasped in all traditional societies, but at times gets lost in the modern age.
It boils down to how the schools try to cultivate and nurture the minds of the children under their care. The right kind of
education is what gives the student true “ownership” of cultural tradition in all its intellectual, aesthetic, and moral aspects. It helps them understand the magnitude of the world and helps them visualize their place in this ever-expanding universe.

Exposing the children to the right kind of education at an early age is of the utmost importance. At an early age, the brain of the child is evolving by the day, and introducing the right educational approach changes the mindset and ideology of the child. It will change the way they perceive and pursue education.

Education is the ideal medium for personal growth. It not only helps the children make their place in the ever-changing world, but it also enables them to develop an opinion and choose the rights and wrongs for themselves. By changing how we educate our children, we have the immeasurable power to bring the advent of a better humanity.

At Great Principals, we hope to bring about a necessary change in the ways of Indian Education. Each new generation is far more capable than the last, and we owe it to evolution. But as humans evolve, we are required to transcend from our old ways and look at things from a different perspective, one that shapes the untapped minds of the children for the ever-growing world.

We are here to capture the journeys of marvelous School Leaders and Principals through an interactive talk show. We hope to inspire the parents who are the true changemakers in a child’s growing life. Our goal is to bring about a much-needed change in the way we educate our kids.
